However, these plants grow quite large - a leaf span of a meter or more is not uncommon. The culture from a young plant to the flowering shoot will take a few years.

If you look for pictures of the flowers of this plant on the Internet, you will quickly find that the pictures of the flowers of this plant are very different - often they are not correct.

According to the experts, there is also a light flower type of Paph. kolopakingii and a dark flower type identified by Guido BRAEM as Paph. topperi has been determined.

At the beginning of March I got the news from an orchid friend that in a larger stock of paphiopedils there were two different color variants of Paph. kolopakingii bloom. The photo things were quickly packed and the following pictures were shot by both of us:
